Foot, ankle and orthopedic surgery for children
Foot and ankle surgery is a branch of orthopedics. It specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle diseases, foot and ankle surgery and the treatment of congenital and acquired anomalies of the foot and ankle.
The foot contains twenty-six bones, thirty-three joints (twenty of them are active joints), and more than a hundred muscles of tendons and ligaments.
