Thoracic surgery (open / VATS – assistive endoscopic surgical techniques / RATS – robot assisted surgical techniques): The huge team of thoracic surgeons performs 2300 surgeries annually, for both pediatric and adult patients. About 40% of procedures are performed with video thoracoscopy with minimal interventions. Open thoracotomy is used to treat intrusive tumor growth and for the purpose of multi-organ resections.
